Robert J. Ramseur, Jr. Named To “Legal Elite”
RALEIGH, N.C. – Ragsdale Liggett. PLLC has announced that Robert J. Ramseur, Jr., a partner in the firm, has been recognized as one of the top lawyers in North Carolina by Business North Carolina, a magazine that covers business trends and issues in the state.
Each year, Business North Carolina mails ballots to every lawyer living in North Carolina licensed by the State Bar. The ballots ask: “Of the North Carolina lawyers whose work you have observed firsthand, whom would you rate among the current best?” Voters in 2006 selected Ramseur, and he was subsequently inducted into the Legal Elite in the area of real estate. Less than 3 percent of the state’s lawyers made the list.
“I am honored to be named to Business North Carolina’s Legal Elite,” said Ramseur. “To be recognized by my peers in this way is humbling and gratifying.”

WHEN SHOULD I REVIEW MY ESTATE PLAN?
You Should Review your Estate Plan
After Any Major Life Event, Including:
∙ The birth or adoption of a child,
∙ Marriage, separation or divorce,
∙ After a major change in your finances,
∙ Relocating from another state,
∙ A change in the needs of your
heirs (education, health care, etc.),
What about Trusts?
There is a fair amount of discussion about trust planning in national publications. Trusts can be valuable estate planning tools to manage property, exercise control and minimize probate expenses. The need for a trust can depend on your individual situation, and not everyone will require a trust to meet their estate planning goals.
Where can I learn more?
Remember, to take no action is an action.
Contact Jay Hemphill with Ragsdale Liggett PLLC at (919) 881-2236 to review your existing estate plan or to create a plan to meet your goals and needs. You can read more on Jay Hemphill at Ragsdale Liggett.
